ROBYN WOODS

The aim of this Design Consultancy project was to increase awareness of Lancaster University’s Energy Infrastructures, enhance accessibility and poster engagement, and strengthen Energy Lancaster’s brand. To push the message of Energy Lancaster we designed characters to represent the energy infrastructures and created posters that would be displayed on digital screens across the university campus.
Using Design Fiction to research the potential of Artificial Womb Technology through a collection of artefacts, that, when viewed together, build a fictional world. This artefact shows an information pack which includes a pamphlet, a diagram and information for a family support group.
The aim of this project was to take a visual case study and explore how the principles from modernism and postmodernism can influence and transform an existing brand’s identity. I chose to develop Jet 2’s brand based on the principles from Pop Art, by redesigning their logo and promotional materials.

Throughout my time at Lancaster University, I have overcome many challenges that have shaped me personally and helped me become an ambitious young designer. I enjoy all design; however, I have developed a love for Graphic design, particularly branding.

My aim as a designer is to take advantage of user-centred design to bring ideas to life and create innovative solutions. I am excited for my future in design and to develop further as a designer. I intend to make a significant impact in the design world.
