JAMES BRISTOW

This is an autonomous tractor designed to work entirely independently in a world where autonomous vehicles potential is being realised to change how our food is grown.

This was a second year project where i designed an automaton with working lights and a rapid prototyping opportunity to develop the movement.

This was my dissertation project where I explored the idea of creating an adjustable mountain bike suspension platform through a research through design process to identify the limitations and opportunities of that type of design.

I think I take an engineering approach to design with a focus on tangibility. I primarily like working in a 3D space constructing artefacts in their place in the world and how I’d like to interact with them.
