DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
In Y/Our Own Time was born from a love of slice-of-life films and a conversation with my friends about the random objects left behind in our student accommodations, things like coasters, hair ties, loyalty cards. Every item once belonged to someone who, in their own time, called our current living spaces, home. I began imagining their lives, their anxieties, their joys and started wondering where they might be today. This film is an exploration of the invisible threads that connect all of us across time and space. I hope it helps to normalise the uncertainties of life after graduation and offers comfort to those navigating this transition.
May this film be a warm hug to you.
This film is produced as part of short film prodcution module.
