PSU is a speculative project with the Design Things module, designed to encourage debate and foresight around topics that would be difficult or impossible to address in the modern day. My response is a liquid life support system designed for artificial gestation of extremely premature peri-nates, or younger, encouraging debate around the private use or systemic use of artificial wombs.
Vitalus Nexus is a speculative futures project with the Design Contexts module. The brief led to us developing a spider-like floating multi-sport megastructure which aims to engage the deficiencies of an over-digitised Lancaster.
Morecambe Bay Curriculum is a working brief for my design consultancy module, designing a new brand identity for an educational charity working in Morecambe Bay using the notion of place based sustainability. The brief was to help clarify their branding, materials, logos and working groups with a new aesthetic pack
As a designer, I love the ways in which design can encourage more creative and exciting approaches to difficult briefs. My approach to design is using as a tool to bring design thinking, methods and techniques to develop a human element within quite clinical topics, and I love that element of tailored, effective creativity.
