DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
In this film I intended to experiment with the nature of film spectatorship through creating an incongruous and contradictory experience. Through invoking the aesthetic hallmarks of the ‘western’ whilst deconstructing its founding imagery, this film seeks to not only to situate genre tropes in experimental practice, but to take a sledgehammer to their very matter.

SYNOPSIS
A post-mortem examination of the Hollywood Western. Radically recontextualising the aesthetics of the American west through a bricolage of found footage, surrealist imagery, and lyrical filmmaking in service of an ultimate rejection of the mythology of the frontier.
