ARTIST STATEMENT

The “Broken Britain” Collection

In response to the current tensions of the ever-changing socio-political landscape of the UK, I have decided to create a body of work that explores the current fractures felt within British society and the public. I have encompassed this feeling by creating wearable sculptures, made from stained glass, chainmail and fabric. Intertwining traditional elements of British craft, to highlight the sense of ‘broken identity’ felt within the British public.
